What healthcare benefits of a cleaner Europe?
It is estimated in this Health and Environmental Alliance report that cleaner air in Belgium resulting from the achievement of a 30% rather than a 20% reduction in emissions would result in public health benefits of between €320 million and €923 million per year from 2020. The costs of implementing the rise to a 30% target would amount to 150% of the possible public health benefits though.

But if we do not react on time, we won’t be able to continue to assure the access to care, its quality, while mastering its costs.
To guarantee the future of our healthcare system, we suggest a set of concrete and innovative actions for a sustainable system.
