Towards a new organization and financing of our hospitals: what opportunities for improvement?

Today’s hospital financing is no longer adapted to the evolutions hospital care is undergoing. This is the main conclusion of a report by Jeroen Trybou, health economics researcher at Ghent University, on behalf of Itinera. The way hospitals are being financed is not transparent and fragmented. We plead in favor of complete transparency of the financial flows. This is an essential condition for a serious debate.
