prof. dr. Marc De Vos Director marc.devos@itinerainstitute.org Marc De Vos holds a Licentiate and Doctorate in Law (Universiteit Gent), a Master in Social Law (Université Libre de Bruxelles), and a Master of Laws (Harvard University). He is the director of the Itinera Institute and teaches Belgian, European and international employment and labour law, as well as American law, at Ghent University and the University of Brussels (VUB). He frequently publishes, lectures and debates on issues of labour and employment law, European integration, labour market reform, pensions, healthcare, ageing and the welfare state, both nationally and internationally, and in academic, professional and policy circles, as well as in the media.

Ivan Van de Cloot Chief Economist ivan.vandecloot@itinerainstitute.org Ivan Van de Cloot studied economics at the University of Antwerp and was research assistant for two years in the domain of public finances. As a consultant he helped preparing the liberalisation of the gas and electricity market in Belgium. Afterwards he worked as an economist for the research department of ING/BBL for 6 years. On top of cyclical analysis he specialized in the analysis of the structural characteristics of the Belgian economy. Ivan wrote about pensions but also about the liberalisation of the railway traffic, de economic aspects of immigration, entrepreneurship and healthcare. As a commentator for financial and economic events, he often appears in the written and audio-visual media. He has a column in De Tijd and De Morgen.

prof. dr. Johan Albrecht Senior Fellow johan.albrecht@itinerainstitute.org Johan Albrecht studied at the universities of Ghent and Oxford and has a PhD in environmental economics from Ghent University. A senior fellow at the Itinera Institute, he teaches economic analysis of environmental law and environmental economics at Ghent University, as well as a course on the US economy (Antwerp University, MA American Studies). He is the author of two books and over thirty publications in international journals and volumes. As scientific advisor, he worked for Belgian and international organisations.

prof. dr. Jean Hindriks Senior Fellow jean.hindriks@itinerainstitute.org Jean Hindriks obtained his BA, MA and PhD in Economics at the University of Namur. A former lecturer in economics at the University of Exeter and at Queen Mary, University of London, he is a senior fellow at the Itinera Institute and professor in Economics at the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL). He also serves as co-director of Center of Operations Research and Economics (CORE) and as director of Undergraduate Studies in Economics and Management at the UCL. A co-editor of several academic journals and a member of the International Monetary Fund’s panel of fiscal experts, he has published widely and internationally on issues of public economics and political economy.

François Daue Senior Fellow francois.daue@itinerainstitute.org François Daue obtained his Licenciate and Master in Economics at the University of Namur. After two years of research for scientific policy programme services, he was during six years the adjunct director for the French-speaking federation of hospitals (FIHW). He was administrator-director at Deloitte & Touche Belgium where he led during ten years the consulting department for the healthcare sector, and served as European director of the Healthcare Business Group for Deloitte & Touche. He is currently director at Optifa, a consulting company focusing on healthcare and senior fellow at the Itinera Institute.

Etienne De Callataÿ Senior Fellow etienne.decallatay@itinerainstitute.org Etienne de Callataÿ studied economics at the Facultés de Namur and the London School of Economics. He is currently chief economist at Bank Degroof and Chairman of Degroof Fund Management Company (DFMC). He also is guest lecturer at the Facultés de Namur and the UCL. He has published many articles on government financing, such as ageing, social security and federalism.

prof. dr. Dave Sinardet Senior fellow dave.sinardet@itinerainstitute.org Dave Sinardet is doctor in political and social sciences at the University of Antwerp. He is a post doctoral researcher of FWO Vlaanderen and also a part-time professor at the Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis and the VUB. He is an expert in state reform and Belgian community issues. He dedicates his research and teaching to federalism, nationalism, language politics, political decision-making processes, consensus democracy, political communication and public opinion.

prof. dr. Lieven Annemans Senior Fellow Lieven.annemans@itinerainstitute.org Lieven Annemans is, amongst others, doctor in Applied Economics. He is professor at Gent University and Brussels University. He specializes mainly in health economic evaluations of medical technologies, pharmaceutical drugs and preventive health actions in various medical areas (Cardiology, dermatology, diabetes, gastroenterology, infectiology, clinical biology, Otolaryngology, oncology, orthopedics, phychiatry and urology.)

Brieuc Van Damme Fellow brieuc.vandamme@itinerainstitute.org Brieuc Van Damme holds a Bachelor Degree in Economic and Social Sciences (Namur Universisty, 2004),a Master in Economic Sciences – international and development economics specialization (Leuven University, 2006) and a Master of Arts in European Economics (College of Europe, 2007). After his Government and Public Services consultant job at Accenture Brussels, Brieuc joined the Itinera team in March 2008. Brieuc mainly works on healthcare and elder care policy and publishes in the national media. |

Isabelle Martin Fellow isabelle.martin@itinerainstitute.org Isabelle Martin holds a Master’s degree in Economics (University of Namur, 2007) and is about to complete a Master of advanced studies in Economics (KUL). She specialized in monetary economics and international trade but also developed an interest in economic topics as employment, ageing, and taxation. During her studies, she cofounded a club of student entrepreneurs (CEENamur) whose main objective was to inform students about starting a business. |
