Bernadette ADNET is an economist and senior counsellor at the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium. She is member of the management board of different social security affairs and in particular RIZIV-INAMI “Rijksinstituut voor ziekte- en invaliditeitsverzekering” / “Institut National d’Assurance Maladie-Invalidité” (RIZIV – INAMI).
Lieven ANNEMANS is a Professor of Health Economics at Ghent University and Brussels University. He is chairman of the Flemish Health Council, advising the Flemish Minister of Health, Past-President of ISPOR, the International Society for PharmacoEconomics and Outcomes Research, and was previously advisor the Federal minister of social affairs, Frank Vandenbroucke.
Filip BABYLON is a pharmacist. He is vice-president of the “Association Pharmaceutique Belge” / “Algemene Pharmaceutische Bond”, president of the “Instituut voor Farmaco-Epidemiologie van België” / “Institut Pharmaco-Epidémiologique belge” and member of the “Commissie Tegemoetkoming Geneesmiddelen” (RIZIV – INAMI).
Agnès BODE is the general director of “Familiehulp”.
Piet CALCOEN is a medical doctor and a lawyer. He is the medical director of DKV where he is responsible for the medical and legal affairs. He has a special interest in ethics. He previously worked for McKinsey&Company, the Christian sickness fund and for the Flemish Minister of Well-Being, Public Health and Family Affairs.
Jean-Jacques CASSIMAN is a doctor. He is a professor of human genetics at the KULeuven. He is involved in many organisations and projects related to human genetics. He is the secretary of the European Platform for Patient Organization, Science and Industry and vice-president of the Flemish Institute for Science and technological Aspects of the Flemish Parliament. Since 2007, he has been the president-elect of the European Society for Human Genetics.
Alain DE WEVER is Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Public Health, Pharmacy Institute, Solvay Commercial Institute, MMISS and CIMM (University Centre of Medical Management) at the Free University of Brussels (ULB), more particularly in hospital management and in health economy. In addition to his academicals activities, he is Director/Manager of the limited liability company D.W.H.C.C (De Wever Health Care Consulting) for hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. Prior to the setting up of D.W.H.C.C. he was Chairman and Managing Director of Glaxo Wellcome Belgium S.A., Official Advisor to Ph. Busquin and Ph. Moureaux, Ministers of Social Affairs, Medical Director of the University Hospital of Brussels "Erasme" and of the University Hospital Brugmann.
Catherine DRUEZ is a doctor of pharmacy, specialised in pharmaceutical legislation. She also teaches at the Pharmacy School of the Université Catholique de Louvain.
Guy DURANT is an administrator of the “Cliniques Universitaires St-Luc” and president of the Belgian Hospitals Association. He also teaches at the Université Catholique de Louvain.
Walter KESSLER is a doctor within the medical directorate overseeing the production and analysis of medical data for the hospital group of the “Centre Hospitalier Chrétien” in Liège. Walter Kessler also has many years of expertise in international public health and practices medicine at the “Cliniques St Joseph”.
Paul KESTENS is a renowned economist. He was the director of the Department of Applied Economics of the “Université libre de Bruxelles” (DULBEA).
Thierry KLEIN is a medical director at the CHU of Hornu.
JEAN-MARC LAASMAN holds a master in economics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles where he also was a researcher. He worked as a councillor for several Belgian governments on subjects related to social security and healthcare. He is now the director of the research centre of the “Socialistische Mutualiteiten” / “Mutualités Socialistes”.
Pascal MERTENS is the general director of the “Onafhankelijke Ziekenfondsen” / “Mutualités Libres”.
Leo NEELS is a lawyer and director of the pharmaceutical organization pharma.be.
Herman NYS teaches medical law at the K.U.Leuven. He is also the director of the Centre for Bioethics and Law, member of the Federal Commission on Bioethics and president of the Nikolaas Hospital in Sint Niklaas.
Hugo ROBAYS is the director of the Pharmacy department at the University Hospital in Ghent. He also teaches at Ghent University.
Wauthier ROBYNS holds a degree in Law. He is director of Assuralia, the professional federation of insurance companies. He is responsible for communication and international affairs. He also teaches at EHSAL/HUB in Brussels and is member of the European Economic and social Committee.
Patrick RUTTEN is the medical director of the “Centre Hospitalier de l'Ardenne”. He is an expert in hospital management and is a member of the “Conseil national des Etablissements de Soins” and of the “Conseil Wallon des Etablissements de Soins”.
Erik SCHOKKAERT holds a PhD in Economics. He teaches health and public economics at the K.U.Leuven and he is the director of the Centre for Economics and Ethics.
Ivan VAN DER MEEREN is a doctor and a director of the “Nationaal verbond van Socialistische Mutualiteiten” / “Union Nationale des Mutualités Socialistes”.
JAN VAN EMELEN studied medicine. He has relevant experience in fields related to labour medecine, policy and sick funds. He is director of Strategic studies and Communication of the “Onafhankelijke Ziekenfondsen / Mutualités Libres”.
Ann VERHAEGEN is a doctor at the Ziekenhuis Netwerk Antwerpen and director of the “Vlaamse Diabetes Vereniging”.
